Kenny Pinkerton, Sr.

Kenneth Leon “Kenny” Pinkerton, Sr., 79 of Chaffee, Missouri died Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born October 29, 1946, in Cape Girardeau County to Charles William and Hallie Lillian Rumfelt Pinkerton. He married Kathy Hendrickson on March 18, 2000, and she preceded him in death March 20, 2025.

Kenny attended High Hill School and Jackson High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1966 – 1968. He was a bridge inspector for Burlington Northern Railroad for several years. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, buying and selling guns and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by five children, Kenny (Jennifer) Pinkerton, Jr of Jackson, Rodney (Marinda) Pinkerton of Millersville, Missouri, Amanda ( Ryan) Pobst and Will Robertson of Chaffee and Daniel (Sarah) Robertson of Jackson; twenty two grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two more great grandchildren expected soon; siblings, Ed (Sharon) Pinkerton, John Pinkerton, Ruth Miller and Rosie ( Steve) Ralston.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Burial will be at High Hill Cemetery, near Neely’s Landing with full military honors.
