She and Richard Sides were married June 28, 1958, at New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas. Two children were born to their union, Mark and Leisa. They had been married nearly 62 years when Richard passed away April 6, 2020.
LaDora worked many years for the City of Jackson, at City Hall. In earlier years, she and Richard enjoyed bowling in the couples’ league at the Jackson Lanes.

They later joined Shawnee Hills Baptist Church in Jackson, where she served over 25 years as the organist. Her music and friendship will be greatly missed.
LaDora and Richard’s greatest joy was spending time with their family, especially their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In retirement, they enjoyed taking brief get-aways and going to flea market sales.
