Larry Wayne Ford, 82, of Oak Ridge, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

He was born on November 13, 1943, near Oak Ridge to Lawrence A. and Amelia G. (Mantz) Ford. On October 25, 1964, Larry married the love of his life, Patsy Hobeck, whom he first met in the eighth grade. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage and shared 70 years loving each other.

Larry graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1961. He briefly worked as a carpenter before attending automotive school in Kansas City in 1962. He went on to work as a mechanic for Ford Groves and later Ameren UE in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 2007.

He was a former member of First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge and became a member of New Salem Methodist Church in Daisy in 1984. Larry enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, camping, fishing, and hunting with his son Steven and grandson Levi. He and his brother Garnet shared a passion for hot rod tractors, which Larry built, tuned and drove in many tractor pulls. The tractors were named “Grandpa’s Toy” and “Grandma’s Headache”.

His greatest joy was spending time with his wife Patsy—listening to her play guitar and traveling to Mountain View, Arkansas, where she often performed.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Patsy; his children, Susan Ford (Steve Rainey) of Silver Point, Tennessee, Angy Zoellner of Cape Girardeau, and Steven (Leah) Ford of Friedheim; and three grandchildren, Skyler, Haylee, and Levi.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son-in-law, Terry Zoellner; his sister, Agatha (Charles) Hawn; and his brothers, Harold and Garnet Ford.
