Larry Dean Henry

Larry Dean Henry of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, at the Hubble Creek Nursing Facility in Jackson.

He was born July 7, 1946, in Daisy, Missouri, to Walter E. and Marjorie M. Thiele Henry.

Larry married Bonnie Hopson on September 26, 1964, in Daisy, and together they built a loving life rooted in faith and family.

A graduate of Oak Ridge High School, Larry worked 25 years for Wiethop Truck Sales in Cape Girardeau. He was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge. Larry enjoyed collecting guns, especially black-powder firearms, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Loving survivors include his daughter, Lisa (Dale) Volz; his granddaughter, Abby; and his brother, Don (Betty) Henry, all of Oak Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Bonnie Henry; his son, Larry Dean Henry Jr.; and his parents, Walter and Marjorie.

Visitation is from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The Rev. Cody Fleenor will conduct the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 7, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Daisy.

If considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
