Larry Joe Smith

Larry Joe Smith, 82, of Jackson passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his daughter's home.

He was born October 19, 1942, in Kennett, son of Albert and Edith Bailey Smith. He and Wanda Dycus were married on June 7, 1960.

Larry had a passion for vintage automobiles and still owned an old Model A. He was a member of several car clubs.

Loving survivors include his wife of 65 years, Wanda Smith of Jackson; a daughter, Tonya (Curt) Mowrey of Jackson, three sons, Mike Smith of McClure, Illinois; Rick (Mary) Smith of Benton, and Scott Smith of McClure; two grandchildren, Taylor (Kendall) Kern and Craig (Leslie) Smith; two great-grandchildren, Koe Kern and Lydia Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Cremation arrangements by McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. There will be no services.

The family suggests that contributions be made to church or charity of donor's choice.
