Lila Jackson

Lila Jackson, age 70, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at her home.

She was born December 23, 1946, in Montcoal, West Virginia, daughter of Arthur and Cloeva Jones Jackson. She and Paul Huffman were married 19 years.

Lila was employed over 20 years at the Cape Girardeau County Health Department in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 2010.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Paula (Charles) Reed of Scott County, Missouri; a son, Ed Huffman of Oak Ridge; a sister, Jenny Easterday of Knoxville, Tennessee; a twin brother, Leland (Wilma) Jackson of Belleville, Illinois; 27 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lonnie Huffman; two sisters and three brothers.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday, June 26, 2017 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Don Estes officiating.

Interment will be in Caney Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Oak Ridge.

The family suggests that contributions be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association or the American Lung Association.
