Linda Jane Thompson, age 77 of Jackson passed away, Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the Villas of Jackson.
Linda was born October 25, 1948, the daughter of Homer and Lela Stevens Rainwater.
Linda was a graduate of Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri. She worked for River Eagle Distributing Company in Cape Girardeau for many years. She attended New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. Linda enjoyed reading, sewing, making crafts, but spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy.
Loving survivors include two sons, Scott (Tara) Fischer and Jeff (Angie) Fischer of Jackson; and five grandchildren, Chase, Tyler, Logan, and Brady Fischer and Coley Leimbach.
Visitation will be from 10-11 am, Friday July 17, 2026 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral service will be at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
