Lois Elaine (Grindstaff) Myers

Lois Elaine Myers, 81, of Whitewater. passed away Friday, December 29, 2023. at Southeast Health Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born August 5, 1942 in Cape Girardeau County, the daughter of Dale and Ethel Irene Sawyer Grindstaff.

Elaine and Robert Myers were united in marriage on September 4, 1964. One son, Rob was born to their union, on February 18, 1967, and he died January 1, 1997.

Elaine lived most of her life near the Lake Girardeau community. She graduated from Jackson High School. She attended Barks Chapel near Lake Girardeau, and she enjoyed singing southern gospel songs.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rob; sister and brother-in-law, Shelba and William Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the funeral home, with Rev. Sydney Laxton and Rev. David Kempfer officiating.

Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
