Louise Mary Kester, 89, of Jackson passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 12, 1932, in Friedheim, daughter of Ferd and Mary Bequette Kester.
Louise baby sat and worked for General Electric in St. Louis for several years. Later she moved to California and worked as a beautician until returning to Jackson in 1989.
Loving survivors include four brothers, Pearl James (Norma Kester of Jackson, Monroe Kester of Bloomsdale, George (Leona) Kester and Willie (Janet) Kester of Friedheim, four sisters, Mary L. Williams of Jackson, Sediala (Roy) Wilke of House Springs, Sharon (Glenn) Bodenschatz of Oak Ridge, and Carol Miller of Washington.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, a sister, Mabel Blankenship and niece, Doris Wilke.
Visitation will be Monday, May 17, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 10:30 am, at the funeral home, with Pastor Elijah Allen officiating.
Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
