Margaret Marie Sides

Margaret Marie Sides, age 69, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at her home.

She was born July 10, 1948, near Perryville, Missouri, daughter of Hubert H. and Ruby J. Horn Clayton. She and Mike E. Sides were married October 16, 1966 in Millersville.

Margaret was a 1966 graduate of Jackson High School. She joined Mike for a time while he was stationed in St. Jose, California. After returning to Jackson, she was employed at the Jackson International Shoe Factory; Jackson Manor Nursing Home; the Golden Corral and for a number of years, Country Mart deli in Jackson before her health declined. Margaret was a member of the Red Hat Society in Jackson and was of the Methodist faith.

Loving survivors include her husband of 51 years, Mike; two children, Sherri (Keith) Mayfield and Chad (Kim) Sides of Jackson; three grandchildren, Blake and Cody Mayfield and Ashley Newell; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Neilson of Illinois and Barbara Michelson of Millersville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Clayton.

The visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating.

Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family suggests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
