Margarette M. "Maggie" Williams, 92, of Gordonville, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born July 21, 1924, in Gordonville, to Martin and Clara Eggers Hanschen. She and John R. Williams were married September 20, 1947, in Gordonville. They had been married 57 years when John passed away January 4, 2005.
Maggie worked many years at the former International Shoe Factory in Jackson. She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
She is survived by four sisters-in-law, Peggy (the late Pete) Hanschen of Gordonville, Mildred (the late Aaron) Helderman of Whitewater, Missouri, Jean (Ray) Green of Crump, Missouri, Flora (the late Earl) Wiseman of Crump; a brother-in-law, Rev. Clifton (the late Irene) Trentham of Marble Hill, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Ed (Evelyn) Hanschen, Walter (Jessie) Hanschen, Martin "Pete" Hanschen, Sarah (Ben) Borchelt, Minnie (Louis) Whitler; and a brother-in-law, James "Jr" (Euva) Williams.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville.
The funeral will be Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 11 a.m., at the church, with the Rev. Mark Boettcher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Christ Lutheran Church.
