Marion L (Smith) Hyson

Marion L. Hyson, 91, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at The Arbors Capetown in Cape Girardeau.

She was born February 15, 1932 in Whitewater, Missouri, daughter of Walter D. and Bessie Ann Green Smith. She married Michael F. Hyson, the love of her life on January 7, 1956 in Cape Girardeau. He passed away February 12, 2008.

Marion was a member at Whitewater United Methodist Church.  She worked for Intercity Latex in Dover, Delaware, International City Manufacturing Company of St. Louis and retired from Concordia Publishing House in 1986. After living and working many years in St. Louis Mike and Marion moved to Jackson after retirement.

Loving survivors include many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years of marriage; three brothers, Carson Smith, Jesse Smith and Walter Smith Jr.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday, July 8, 2023 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the funeral home with Rev. Donnie Ford officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may be made to New Mckendree United Methodist Church or Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
