Mary M. Bronaugh

Mary Margaret Bronaugh, 61, of Jackson passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 surrounded by loved ones at her residence.

She was born April 16, 1955, in St. Louis, Mo, daughter of Orville Remington and Violet Marie Dunlap Beckett.

Mary was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, Mo and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona.

Mary began her career as a massage therapist and later managed and designed spas all throughout the United States, including several five star facilities. Mary was also a Reiki Master in the Usui Traditional form of Japanese alternative healing arts. A quote that inspired Mary was, "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience."

She loved antiques, gardening and genealogy but most of all her family and grandchildren, who were the main reason she came back to Cape Girardeau County for retirement.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Danielle (Matt) Callow of Jackson; a son, Jordan (Rebecca) Picker of Cape Girardeau; a brother, David Beckett of Jackson and a sister, Linda (Lou) Voss of O'Fallon, Mo.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Taylor, Addison, Kellan, Jack and Delaney.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Richards.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 1 PM, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, officiated by Darren Burgfield, with a Traditional Cherokee Blessing delivered by Chief Paul White Eagle.
