Mary Stone

Mary L. Stone, 75, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born August 27, 1947, in Bollinger County, Missouri, to Earl and Ruth Eaker Tipton. She and Larry Stone were married September 11, 1965, in Lutesville, Missouri. Mary was a graduate of Woodland High School. She earned a cosmetology license at the former beauty school in Jackson, and worked ten years as a stylist in Cape Girardeau. Mary enjoyed playing the piano, canvas painting, was an excellent cook, and enjoyed her home immensely. She was a member of The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri. Loving survivors include her husband of 57 years, Larry Stone of Jackson; their fur babies, Gracie, Bug, and Zues; a brother, Lynn (Linda) Tipton of San Antonio, Texas; Larry's sister, Linda Shiverdeck of Jackson;.nieces, Ruthie Tipton of San Antonio, and Selina Stone (Richard) of Arkansas; and nephews, Darin (Kelly) Shiverdeck of Jackson and Lenny (Annie) Tipton of San Antonio. She was preceded in death by an infant brother Raymond Earl Tipton, and her parents. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will conduct a private service at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may take the form of contributions to Southeast Missouri Pets, formerly the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri. Arrangements by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
