Michael Shane (Langston) Langston

Michael S. Langston, 48, of Malden passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 15, 1973, in Cape Girardeau to James and Barbara Patterson Langston. Michael grew up in Cape Girardeau, graduating from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1991. He enlisted in the Army in 1992 and was medically discharged in 2000. He received a bachelor's degree from Webster University in computer engineering. Michael worked for several IT firms before retiring due to his health conditions. He is survived by his parents, James and Barbara Langston; a daughter, Autumn (Brad George) of High Ridge, Missouri; brother, Billy Scott Langston of Farmington, Missouri; and two sisters, Stacie Langston of Colorado and Graci Langston of Malden. Michael is also survived by his nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Zeus, his German shepherd. A private family service will take place at a later date and will include full military honors. Cremation services were accorded by McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
