Michael "Mike" Onderdonk

Michael “Mike” Onderdonk, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at his home in Millersville, MO surrounded by family.

On August 14, 1943, in Belgique, MO he was born to the late Albert and Bertine Fuytinck Onderdonk.

After graduating from high school, Mike enlisted in the United States Army. During his tour in Vietnam, he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, Sharpshooter Medal, and the medal for Good Conduct.

 He married the love of his life Janice Dahlberg on December 21, 1975, in Naperville, IL.

For twenty-five years, Mike had been employed by the Bluff City Beer Company until his retirement as warehouse manager.

He loved to hunt and fish. You would usually find him spending time on his tractor. If it involved being outdoors, it was for Mike.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years Janice; his two daughters: Sarah (Thomas) Watts of Pittsburg, KS and Andrea Peterson of Sandwich, IL; his brother Robert Onderdonk of Millersville, MO; and his sister Theresa (Charles) Geringer of Perryville, MO; five grandchildren: Cheyenne (Josh) McConnell, Devin Peterson, Lily (Ben) Beggs, Brooklyn Peterson, and Teagan Watts; four great grandchildren: McKinley, Gentry, Bowyn and Jett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine siblings.

There are no services scheduled at this time for the Onderdonk family.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mike’s memory to the American Heart Association.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Jackson, MO is assisting with arrangements.
