Mildred (Grossheider) Seboldt

August 7, 1929 — October 29, 2021

Gordonville, Missouri

Mildred Lorraine Seboldt, daughter of Robert F. and Laura Feuerhahn Grossheider, was born August 7, 1929 in Gordonville, MO.  She became a member of God's family through the washing of holy baptism on August 25, 1929 and made a public confession of her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at her confirmation at Zion Lutheran Church, Gordonville on April 18, 1943.

Mildred attended Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, IL.  She and Arthur W. Seboldt were married in August, 1949.  Mildred taught several years at Zion Lutheran School in Independence, KS.  On returning to the Cape area, Mildred worked 20 years as a librarian for the Riverside Regional Libraries.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law Pam Seboldt, grandchildren Josh (Dottie) Seboldt, Elizabeth (Corey) Goggins, and Caleb (Kelly Elbel) Seboldt.  She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Mark, husband Art, sisters, Margie Reimold and Bonnie Kinkel, and brothers and sisters-in-law Everett, Roland and Marcie, Frank and Lois Seboldt, and John Reimold.

The Lord in his wisdom and love, called Mildred home on October 29, 2021 at the age of 92.  Her body will be laid to rest in the cemetery at Zion Lutheran, Gordonville to await the Glorious Resurrection and return of her Savior on the Last Day.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 5th, 4-7 pm at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.  The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 6th, 10 am at Zion Lutheran in Gordonville, MO with the Rev. Wayne Schwiesow officiating.  There will be a viewing at Zion from 9-10 am, prior to the service.

Memorials can be made to Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Hour Ministries, and Zion Lutheran Church.
