Cape Girardeau
Mildred A. Watkins, 100, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jackson, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.
She was born February 25, 1919, in Charleston, Missouri, to Carl and Colleen “Collie” Abernathy Trickey. She and Denzel Allen Watkins were married October 20, 1938. They had been married nearly 57 years when he passed away July 25, 1995.
Loving survivors include two sons Kenneth (Sherry) Watkins and Steve (Nancee) Watkins.
The visitation will be from 11AM until service time on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 12PM, at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Minor officiating.
Interment will follow at McLain’s Chapel Cemetery in Oriole, Missouri.
The family suggests that contributions be made to McLain’s Chapel Cemetery Association.
