Monroe Kester

Ferdinand “Monroe” Kester, age 90, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Friedheim, MO.

On June 30, 1936, in Friedheim, MO he was born to the late Ferdinand and Mary (Bequette) Kester.

Monroe has spent all his life working outdoors. He farmed, cut firewood, and did lawn care for over fifty years. He loved to mow grass.

Survivors include his siblings: Sedalia, George, William, Sharron, and Carol; his son, Zanescot (Tina) Kester of Valles Mines, Mo: daughter, Wendi (Michael Sr.) Turner of Bloomsdale, MO; three grandchildren: Mandy Kester, Zane (Sarah) Kester, and Matilynn (Alex) Matthes; step grandson, Michael Turner Jr.; two great grandchildren: Josie and Allison; four step great grandchildren: Sam, Sydney, Summer and Sloan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife Judith Kester in November of 2011.

A celebration of Monroe’s life will be held on November 7, 2026 at 7762 Red Bird Ln. Bonne Terre, MO. 63628
