Nancy A. (Adams) Pleimann

Nancy A. Pleimann, 76, of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2022.  She was born September 11, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of John and Gloria Adams.  She and Greg Pleimann were married on November 11, 1966.

Nancy and Greg moved to the area in 1973 for Greg’s job at St. Francis Medical Center.

Greg and Nancy started Lazy P Ranch.  Nancy jumped into gardening, being a 4-H Leader and working on the SEMO Fair livestock auction.  The farm had them active in 4-H through their children and grandchildren.  It was ironic that the SEMO Fair was usually her birthday week and she enjoyed nothing better than watching her grandsons and friends show their animals. No one could talk to the animals like her.

In 1984, Nancy’s mom took her to the first AQS show in Paducah and encouraged her to start quilting.  That was the start of her real passion.  She owned and operated Uniquely Sew quilt shop in Cape for many years.  She was one of the founders of the River Heritage Quilt Guild.  She loved teaching quilting and having friends visit her quilt studio at her house.

Nancy was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Jackson before moving to Oak Ridge in 2004.  There she was a member of St. Maurus parish in Biehle.

Loving survivors include daughter Barb (Paul) Reininger, Fenton, MO, son Steve (Tammy), Oak Ridge, MO, grandsons Chris (Brittany) Reininger, Brandon Pleimann, Caleb Reininger, and Adam (Machela) Pleimann, great grandchildren Destiny and Gus, siblings Susan (Roger) Barnes and Mary Croft.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother John Adams.

Nancy loved taking care of others, her family, and friends alike.  Her creativity, her smiles, and her laughter will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life/Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at St. Maurus in Biehle.  There will be a luncheon and quilt show following in the parish hall.
