Nina Fay Reed, 72, of Jackson, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 20, 1944, to Herman Farris and Lillie Bell Duboise Woodall. She and Rick Reed were married October 1, 1983, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Nina was a 1962 graduate of Dexter High School. She worked for Atmos Energy in Butler, Missouri and Jackson, retiring in 2006 with 33 years of service. In 1993, she and Rick moved from Butler to Jackson. Nina was of the Baptist faith.
Loving survivors include her husband of 33 years, Rick of Jackson; two children, Lisa Bryant of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Roger Montgomery of Fort Myers, Florida; three grandchildren, Mitchell Reed Montgomery, Mandi Kay Shapp, and Cody Dale Montgomery; three sisters, Nancy (Larry) Cooper of Bloomfield, Missouri, Gail (Dennis) Gibson of Dexter, Missouri, and Cathy DeMeyer of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Montgomery; four siblings, Eugene Woodall, Wanda Atchley, Carolyn Burns, Virginia Masters; and her parents.
Visitation will be Friday, November 4, 2016, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be Friday, November 4, 2016, at 11:30 a.m., at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating.
Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the donor's choice of church of charity.
