Orville Fluegge

Orville Leonard Fluegge, 89, of Jackson, MO passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born to the late Robert and Martina (Peetz) Fluegge. He married Loretta Saupe on January 1,1961, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas. Orville was a Co-Owner of Pocahontas Lumber for 55 years, and later in life, a motorcoach driver. He was a square dancer for 30 years, and enjoyed hobby farming.

He was survived by the love of his life for 65 years, Loretta Fluegge; Sons, Kenneth (Monica) Fluegge and Michael (Pat) Fluegge; Grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Elizabeth, Chris, and William; Great-Grandchildren, Brycen, Sunnie, Mischa, Kalin, and River; great-great-grandchildren, William, and Hadassah. Sisters-in-law, Betty Fluegge, and Darlene Fluegge.

He was predeceased by parents; siblings, Evelyn Moore, Charles Fluegge, Marjorie Hoehne, Byron Fluegge, and Milford Fluegge

Visitation will be on Sunday August 23, 2026 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Monday August 24, 2026, officiated by Rev. Joshua Schmidt.

Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
