Surrounded by her husband and six children, Patricia “Pat” E. Schwepker, 77, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau

She was born July 7, 1941, in Pleasanton, Kansas, to Earl and Nora Atherton McIntosh.  She and Robert “Bob” H. Schwepker were married April 7, 1962, in Fulton, Kansas.  For the most part, they raised their family in Kansas and moved to Cape Girardeau in the late 1980’s.

Pat was a 1959 graduate of Garnett High School in Garnett, Kansas and a 1964 graduate of the former Mercy School of Nursing in Fort Scott, Kansas.  She was a member of the first graduating class of the former Nurse Practioner School in Wichita, Kansas.

Pat was a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita and worked 14 years as the night supervisor at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1997 due to illness.

She is a member of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and a former member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Schulte, Kansas.  She passionately volunteered to raise funds for Camp Hope, a camp near Farmington, Missouri that cares for wounded soldiers.

Loving survivors include her husband of 57 years, Bob Schwepker of Cape Girardeau; six children, Eric, Thad, and Julie Schwepker, Jeff (Christine) Schwepker, Emily Schwepker-Matthews, and Tasha Schwepker-Friend, 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond and Gary McIntosh; and a sister, Linda Heidner.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Anthony Robert Schwepker; her parents; and three brothers, Richard, Robert, and Bill McIntosh.

Memorial visitation is from 10 a.m. to service time, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 514 E. Fourth Avenue, Garnett, Kansas 66032.  Father Daniel Stover will lead a memorial Mass at noon.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Camp Hope, P. O. Box 52, Farmington, MO. 63640, or on their website, www.camphopeusa.org.

Cremation accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, Missouri.
