Patsy Ellis

Patsy P. Ellis, age 74 of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, October 28, 2017 at St Francis Medical Center.

She was born December 20, 1942, to Robert and Bessie Uthoff Fields. She and Kenneth Ellis were married August 31, 1957. He survives.

Patsy attended LaCroix UMC in Cape Girardeau. She was a real estate title examiner for 28 years and a realtor in the Cape area, retiring in 2002 to care for her husband.

Loving survivors include her husband of 60 years, a son, Darren (Rhonda) Ellis and a daughter, Gwen (Elsworth) Schieffer of Cape Girardeau, 9 grandchildren, Stephanie Danger, Rachel Penny, Dennis and Jason Schieffer, Gavin, Alexandra and Andrew Ellis, Trevor and Christin Heisserer, 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Anthony Dale "Tony", a sister and a brother.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 31, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m., at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, with Rev. Brent Cheek officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Fruitland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Ronald McDonald House Charities.
