Paul James Bollinger, 84 of Jackson, Missouri left this world peacefully Tuesday October 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at his home.
Paul was born April 4, 1941 in Sedgewickville, Missouri, the son of Truman and Mildred Mayfield Bollinger.
Throughout his life Paul was a source of unwavering love, strength and guidance to his family and friends. He married Carolyn Sue Mirgaux June 2, 1962. Together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. They raised one son, Bradley “Chris” Bollinger of Jackson, MO.
In addition to his wife and son, Paul is survived by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Fisher of Jackson; a brother-in-law Lawrence (Cheri) Mirgaux of Effingham, IL; a sister-in-law, Margaret (Allen) Pender of Scott City, Missouri; a brother, Danny Bollinger of Fredericktown, Missouri and Sam Bollinger of St. Charles, Missouri; Nieces, Susie (Joey) Davis, Ladonna (Stu) McShannon, Sheila (Kevin) Madras, Lisa (Mike) Hale, Cindy (Donald) Johnson.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Shirley Banks and Carol Williams and brother Bob Bollinger.
Paul served his country by entering the United States Army in October of 1966 as a Spec. 4 till discharged October of 1968. He then went to work for Central Packing. Other employment included Kraft Foods and I.F.C as well as owning and operating Bollinger Lawn Services.
Paul was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Jackson, MO and he served on the school board. He was also a previous member of the Missouri Restaurant Association.
Paul was an avid motorcycle enthusiast traveling to a variety of locations with his buddies. Paul’s talents were many including wood working and leaded stain glass. He enjoyed collecting carnival glass and took pride in his unique finds.
Family would like to extend their gratitude and kindness to St Francis Hospice for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be from 9-11 am Friday, October 10, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Friday, October 10, 2025 at the church with Rev. Joshua Schmidt officiating.
A bereavement meal will immediately follow the service.
Committal and Military honors will be conducted at 2 pm at St. Joseph Cemetery in Scott City, MO.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to St Paul Bereavement Committee.
