Paul "Dean" Fann, age 70, of Chaffee, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 12, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, son of Charlie F. and Clola M. Pulliam Fann. He and Betty K. Upchurch were married May 17, 1997.
Dean attended School at Jackson High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy September 6, 1965 and was honorably discharged July 13, 1966. He worked at Spartech Plastics in Cape Girardeau for twenty years. Dean was an avid hunter of deer and turkey and enjoyed fishing.
Loving survivors include his wife, Betty Fann, of Sikeston; a daughter, Chris Messamore of Anna, Illinois; two sisters, Evelyn Niswonger of Cape Girardeau and Peggy Garcia of St. Louis; a grandson, Zach Fann of Cape Girardeau; and a special niece and caregiver, Paula Fann of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Bobby Fann and a brother, Gary Fann.
The visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 in chapel A of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery with military honors.
The family suggests that contributions be made to McCombs Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
