Paul E. Pender

Paul E. Pender, 83, of Chaffee, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021, at his home.

He was born September 21, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, to Ray and Pearl Worley Pender.  He and Lillian Tacket were married in April, 1960.  Three children were born to their union, Kathy, Christopher, and Pamela.  They had been married 59 years when Lillian passed away May 22, 2019.

Paul served honorably in the Missouri National Guard and Army Reserve.  He worked in construction with Local 282 in Cape Girardeau and retired from the maintenance department of Cape Girardeau Public Schools.

Loving survivors include two children, Chris (Trish) Pender of Chaffee and Kathy Pender of Fruitland; two grandchildren, Jesse Meyer and Andrew Pender; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Pamela; and five siblings, Nelson, Larry, Howard, Jerri, and Goldie.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson was entrusted with Paul's arrangements.
