Pauline Flynn

November 11, 1931 — February 8, 2016

Pauline Campbell Flynn, 84, of Cape Girardeau received her wings on February 8, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born November 11, 1931 in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Herbert C. Campbell and Ruby I. Singleton Campbell Humes.

Pauline was a member of Iona Baptist Church in Oriole. She was so proud of her yard, and enjoyed keeping it clean and working in the flower beds that were full of roses, irises and poppies. She loved going fishing and could watch the bobber all day (even with her eyes closed). She loved Lay's potato chips and her dog, Daisy, will surely miss her sharing a bag. Pauline was a pen pal member with friends around the world; one year, she received 50 birthday cards... she has touched many lives.

Loving survivors include two daughters, Lee (Jim) Johnson and Beth Zaha; "special kids", Deb (Stan) Baughn and Owen Scherer; three brothers, Norman (Ann) Campbell of Oak Ridge, Joe (Mary) Campbell, of Marshfield, Missouri, and Larry "Butch" Campbell of Jackson; a close sister-in-law, Franny Kirk of St. Louis; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Flynn, and a sister, RoseMary Campbell Criddle.

Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until service time Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. A memorial service will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Donny Ford officiating, assisted by Rev. Stan Hargis.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Southeast Hospice.
