Phyllis Vickrey

Phyllis Sue Vickrey, 82, of Jackson, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 15, 1932, in Jackson, daughter of Odus and Ethel Masterson Litzelfelner. She and Charles Vickrey were married April 12, 1951 at First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Phyllis graduated from Jackson High School. She worked at the former PN Hirsch and Rigdon Bakery in Jackson. Phyllis was an avid golfer and bridge player. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include her husband of nearly 64 years, Charlie; three daughters, Judy Vickrey and Jane (Jim) Butler of Cape Girardeau and Susan Romani of Perryville, Missouri; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Mike) Allen and Jamie (Gabe) Runyon; three great grandsons, Lane Allen, Van Runyon, and Max Runyon; a brother, Jack (Judy) Litzelfelner of Jackson; a sister, Barbara Gorski of Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Odie, Joe, Jim, and Ralph Litzelfelner, and five sisters, Rosemary Bradsher, O'Deen Weir, Kathleen Gebhard, LaDonne Wilson, and Margaret Miltenberger.

Friends may call from 4-8 pm Monday, April 6, 2015 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

The funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the funeral home with the Rev. Gene Vickrey and Rev. Lucas Clabough officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Alzheimers Association.
