Randy Keith Davie, age 74, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at his home in Gordonville, MO, surrounded by family.
On August 27, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, MO, he was born to the late Carl and Lillie Proffer Davie.
He was a 1969 graduate of Cape Central High School.
On April 27, 1974, in Cape Girardeau, he married the love of his life Dixie Nothdurft Davie, and they have been married for 52 years.
Randy had worked in the parts department and later was manager of both the truck and trailer shop for the Wiethop Trucking Company in Cape Girardeau, MO for 38 years. After retiring from Wiethop, he went to work for Southeast Missouri Hospital in the maintenance department before finally retiring in 2018. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the Jackson Elks Lodge. He was also noted for helping start the Gordonville Volunteer Fire Department in 1976 and was an active volunteer fire fighter for many years. In the later part of the 70’s Randy was the tax collector for the City of Gordonville and on the town board.
Randy loved working on and rebuilding old cars and vintage motorcycles, that his son Ryan raced. He was an avid member of the Highway Rodders for many years. He loved to take his kids fishing and hunting, country cruises, target shooting but most of all spoiling his grandchildren.
In addition his wife, Randy is survived by two children, one son: Ryan Davie (Kat Holiman) of Jackson, MO; one daughter Sara (Brandon) Bradshaw of Gordonville, MO; three grandchildren: Regan Davie, Ross Davie, and Hadley Bradshaw; three sisters: Vella (Dale) Michaelis, Darla (Kenny) Parkhill, Lana (Mark) Cook; one brother, Eddie (Janee’) Davie two sister & brother in laws: Beverly Wiedefeld (Lance Eaker), Patti (Ronnie) Eftink.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Lillie Davie; his father and mother-in-law Richard (Gene) & Mary (Louella) Nothdurft.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, MO from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon. With Pastor Joshua W. Rau officiating.
Interment will be in the Stroderville Cemetery in Whitewater, MO.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Davie, Rodney Eftink, Ross Davie, Matt Bollinger, Brandon Bradshaw, and Ronnie Eftink.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Missouri Disabled Sportsman.
