Rhonda Kay Sievers, 79, of Jackson, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born February 5, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, to Charles L and Mildred I Walker Sievers.
Rhonda was a 1965 graduate of Jackson High School and Metro Business College in Cape Girardeau.
In 1966, she embarked on a 50-plus year career in family dentistry, retiring from the practice of Dr. T. Wayne Lewis in Jackson after 45 years of dedicated work.
Rhonda was a lifetime, active member of Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson. She especially enjoyed mission work and was a member of the Jamaican Christian Medical Mission Team. Representing the church, she organized and made over five medical mission trips to Carron Hall Jamaica. She was also a member of the Bethany Circle and the Women’s Fellowship at Emanuel Church.
Loving survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Pam Sievers of Jackson; a niece, Michelle (Chuck) Prost and children, Kate Prost and Joe Prost of Cape Girardeau; a goddaughter, Sara (McCallister) Drew and her family - husband Nathan and daughter Harper, of Imperial, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson.
The Reverends Joshua Rau and Sam Roethemeyer will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, at the church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Serving as pallbearers are Jim Walker, Tommy Knott, Douglas Ludwig, Joe Prost, Paul Hoffmann, and Joe Touchette.
