Rhonda Kay "Sis" Moore, 69, of Altenburg, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born February 19, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, to Hobert F. and Nelda Jean Abbott Riehn. She and Nollie G. Moore were married April 13, 1968, at the former Neelys Landing Mission in Neelys Landing. Six children were born to the their union. They had been married 43 years when Nollie passed away December 16, 2011. Rhonda worked several years as the executive housekeeper at the former Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 2016. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas. Rhonda collected many treasures and enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, but above all, she loved spending time with her family. Loving survivors include six children, Nollie (Julia) Moore Jr. of Columbia, Missouri, Randy Moore and Bobbie "Sis" (Eric) Cathcart of Jackson, Fred Moore of Old Appleton, Missouri, and Jeanna (Don) Ruch and Sarah (Matt) Preusser of Friedheim; a brother, Ron (Arlene) Riehn of Scott AFB, Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Debbie (late Rodney) Riehn of Millersville and Erin (late Rocky) Riehn of McDoungh, Georgia; 15 grandchildren, Logan (Anna) Moore, Carter Moore, Lauren Hazelwood, Lee Ann Moore, Tyler Cathcart, Ashley (Josh) Foster, Colby (Leah) Cathcart, Zack (Caroline) Moore, Isaak and fiancée Skylar Ponder, Nollie Lukas Moore, Elija Moore, Bayley (Tristin) Fodge, Holly Brown, Maddie Jo and Gabbie Jean Preusser; and 14 great-grandchildren, Audrey, Anna, Ava Jo and Allis Cathcart, Jaxon, Dalton, and Isabella Foster, Tayton and Emerson Cathcart, Perry Hazelwood IV, Lilli and Colton Overby, Jameson Beasley, Brantley Fodge. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and her parents. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2023, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The Rev. Kevin Rhodes will conduct the funeral service at 12 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment is private. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, New Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Pocahontas, or Niswonger Cemetery west of Millersville.
