Robert Finley " Bob" Joyce, Ii

Robert (Bob) Finley Joyce, II, 72, of Jackson, passed away February 17, 2019 at his home.

He was born April 18, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to Robert F. and Jeanette DuBois Joyce, .

He and Sharon King were married December 29,1995 in Jackson, Missouri. Sharon survives.

Bob graduated from Central High School in Cape, in 1964. He attended Southeast Missouri State University and served in the United States Air Force from 1966-1970.  He returned to Jackson, where he worked at Lenco, Rapco, and retired from the City of Jackson Water Distribution Facility and Power Plant.

Bob was a loving husband and father, an avid reader and audiophile, car enthusiast and jokester. He always had a funny story and a laugh to share.

Loving survivors include his wife, Sharon; his son, Robert I. (Terri) Joyce and their son, Ian; five sisters, Karen Mattingly, Kathy Rodgers, Rita (Randy) Johnson, Laura (David) Hulcy, and Melissa (Chip) Haring, stepson Donny (Rebecca) Jacobs and their three daughters, Taylor, Carlie and Molly, and fifteen nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10 am-1 pm Friday, February 22, 2019 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson with services immediately following. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s charity of choice.
