Robert "Dan" Daniel Huffman

Robert Daniel Huffman, 65, of Jackson passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Southeast Hospital.

He was born June 9, 1954, in Lutesville, son of Robert Amos and Lela Genice Crader Huffman.  He and Karla Sue Brown were married May 10, 1979 in Jackson.

Dan was a 1973 graduate of Leopold High School. He honorable served in the United States Army from June 5, 1973 until June 1, 1976, and then the Reserves until March 20, 1979. Dan was a hardworking man who truly enjoyed his work, most of the time he worked two jobs. He worked in maintenance for 25 year at Jackson Manor, in addition Dan worked at Francis Janitorial in Jackson for several of years, and most recently worked as a maintenance man for The Villas of Jackson until his health started to decline. Dan and Karla babysat many nieces and nephews, in which their home was always open as a second home to them. Most of all Dan loved his family.

Loving survivors include his wife of 41 years, three sisters, Carolyn Reed of Jackson, Sherry Huffman of Memphis, Tn., Beverly (Jim) Holloway of Scott City, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Karen New.

Due to current health concerns, the family will honor Dan with a private visitation and service, with Rev. Joe Allen officiating.

Private interment will follow later that afternoon in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
