Robert Gene Hess

Robert Gene Hess, 72, of Jackson, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born March 18, 1948 in Parma, Missouri, son of Robert and Fleeta Jones Hess. He and Dorothy Dallas were married a d she preceded him in death. Robert was employed 20 years at Florsheim Shoe before going to work for Purina Golden Cat both in Cape Girardeau where he retired in 2005 Loving survivors include one son, Bobby (Misty) Hess and his grandchildren Kevin and Savannah Hess; three brothers Bill Hess and Roger and Lynn Jones all of Jackson. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents. The visitation will be from11:00 A.M. until service time Thursday, December 31, 2020 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Elijah Allen officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. The family suggests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
