Robert Dean Hutchings

Robert Dean "Bob" Hutchings, 70, of Jackson passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born December 24, 1947, in Fredericktown, Missouri to Robert B. and Frances Dollinger Hutchings. He and Patricia "Pat" Altenthal were married June 23, 1973.

Robert was a truck driver many years for Elfrink Trucking Company. He later worked as a Business agent for the Teamsters Union Local 574 in Cape Girardeau and was elected Secretary/Treasurer of Teamsters Union Local 600 in St. Louis. He retired in 2009. Robert enjoyed vintage cars, woodworking and working in his garage.

Loving survivors include his wife Pat Hutchings of Jackson; one daughter, Jean Ann (Mark) Miller of Park Hills, Missouri; one son, Robert "Bo" (Melanie) Hutchings of Jackson; a step-son, Steven (Patti) Holland of Jackson; three grandchildren Melissa, Korey, and Logan; three great-grandchildren Ameliah, Korbyn, and Paityn; and a sister, Nancy Hutchings of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Hutchings.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 10-11 AM at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 AM, at the funeral home, with Father John Harth officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
