Roger Hoyt Dykes

Roger H. Dykes, age 81 of Jackson passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born October 30, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of Ira Benjamin and Ruby Eskew Dykes. He married Joan Kathie Kramen August 15, 1964. Roger was a Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Army and honorably discharged in 1970. Roger and Joan moved to Jackson in 1974 where he worked for Admiral Plastics and later General Sign in Cape Girardeau. Roger was a member of the Jackson Elks Lodge. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed walks around the lake in Jackson. Loving survivors include 3 daughters, Deanna "DeeDee" Terrien of Jackson, Amy Hopper of Cape Girardeau and Wanda Kelley of Jackson; seven grandchildren, Alexandria Kelley, Quentin Hopper, London Terrien, Kaitelyn Kelley, Weston Hopper, Grayson Terrien, and Annika Hopper; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol Ann Gay and Pamela Powell.
