Roger Overbeck

July 24, 1971 — October 30, 2015

Roger L. Overbeck, 44, of Gordonville, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 as a result of a motorcycle accident.

He was born July 24, 1971, in Cape Girardeau, son of Howard and Christine Duren Overbeck.

Roger attended Jackson High School and worked for Luhr Bros. Barge Company Inc. for ten years. For the past three years he was a residential construction hand for Paul Keesee Construction Company in Cape Girardeau. Roger was a member of Harold O'Grauel Masonic Lodge #672 in Cape Girardeau, the Widows Sons Tyler's Sword chapter of Masonic Riders Association, and a member of the former Jackson Jaycees. He was also a proud member of the Patriot Guard, and active in various children's charities.

Loving survivors include his parents of Gordonville; two brothers, Howard Overbeck, Jr. of Perryville and Robert (Rhonda) Overbeck of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Angela (Joe) Mosley of Gordonville; a maternal grandmother, Catherine Duren of Poplar Bluff; a niece, Kayla Overbeck; and three nephews, James and Joseph Mosley and Josh Overbeck.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2015 at the chapel of McCombs funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joel Kidwell officiating.

Interment will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gordonville.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Children's Hope House 709 East Main Street, Jackson, Missouri or Shriners Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, Mo 63110.
