Ronald L. "Ronnie" Wiegand, 84, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born September 8, 1939, in Beatrice, Nebraska, to Noah and Helen Kiesow Wiegand. He honorably served 43 months in the U.S. Army.

Ronnie was a cement finisher for Fronabarger Concrete in Oak Ridge, Missouri, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan.

Loving survivors include his former wife, Florence Wiegand of Jackson; two daughters, Rhonda (Gregory) Farrow and Robin (Stephen) Masters of Jackson; grandchildren: Lucas (Stephanie) Farrow of St. Joseph, Missouri; Maegen (Carson) Childers of Fairchild AFB Washington; Cole Farrow, Bethan Masters, and Owen Masters of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Dolores (late Kenneth) Wiegand of Morris, Illinois, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Alan Wiegand and Kenneth Wiegand.

The Rev. Joshua Schmidt will conduct a private graveside service at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Military rites will also be rendered.

If considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Missouri Veterans Home Foundation.
