Ruby Maire Stroder

Ruby Marie Stroder, 89, of Millersville passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 9, 1933, the daughter of Linus Sylvanus and Ida May Ervin Stroder.

Ruby attended the Stroder School and had been a member of Haynes Chapel Church near Burfordville all her life.

She worked at the shoe factory in Jackson for 45 years and later retired from Lee Rowan.

Survivors include two nieces and a nephew, Beverly (Paul) Niswonger of Jackson; Mike Stroder of Clayton, Missouri; and Carol Ann Ballard of Greensboro, North Carolina; and several great-nieces and -nephews.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Cecil Denver Stroder and Glen Dayton Stroder; two sisters, Dorothy Lucille Stroder and Della Irene Stroder; and a half sister, Mealy Mae Stroder Bazzell.

A private graveside service was held Friday, Sept. 22, with the Rev. Steve Sander officiating. Burial was in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stroder Cemetery.

Arrangements were by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
