Ruth Ann Baker, 79, of Jackson, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at Hubble Creek Nursing Home in Jackson.
She was born October 13, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Samuel and Gertrude Millslagle.
Ruth Ann graduated from Moberly High School and earned a bachelor’s in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University.
She enjoyed horses, plants, and scrapbooking, but nothing topped the joy she received from playing with her grandson.
To cherish her memory, she leaves two sons and a daughter-in-law, Sean (Tina) Monnat and Colin Monnat, and a grandson, Connor Monnat, all of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Mike and John Dougherty.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2026, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mississippi Valley Therapeutic Horsemanship near Oak Ridge, MO.
