Ruth Ladonn (Rust) Whitsel Schilling

Ruth LaDonn Whitsel- Schilling, 84, of Millersville passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at home.

She was born May 25, 1935, in Melber, KY, daughter of Clyde Curtis and Esther Pearl Buckingham Rust. She and Joseph William Whitsel were married on   October 24, 1953. He passed away December 2, 1977.

Ruth worked most of her life caring for others. She was a nursing assistant for many years at the Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville, Missouri. She was a member of the Millersville Baptist Church.

Loving survivors are her three children LaDonna Jo Winchester and Samuel Dean (Joy Ellen) Whitsel of Cape Girardeau and William Scott (Carrie Donna) Whitsel of Millersville; two grandchildren, Misty Jo Winchester and Damien Mark Davis.

Also surviving are three siblings Leona Maxwell of Paducah, KY, Ersel Rust of Mayfield , KY and Beverly Townsend of Huntsville, AL.

She was preceded in death by her husband and siblings Howard Rust, Juanita Niehoff, and Curtis Rust.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson Senior Center in Jackson.

As per Ruth’s request there will be no service and a private burial will take place at a later date.
