Shelby Stafford

Shelby L. "Cupcake" Stafford, 48, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at St Francis Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 25, 1969, in Paragould, Arkansas, daughter of Jimmy D. and Karen D. Bateman Stafford.

Shelby was a 1990 graduate from Parkview State School in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and the Access Ministry; and was formerly employed at VIP Industries in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include her mother, Karen Stafford of Cape Girardeau, a brother, Jarett Stafford of Cape Girardeau, a sister, Bethany Stafford of Rolla, Missouri, paternal grandmother, Viva Stafford of Paragould, Arkansas.

Also surviving are several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Stafford, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, and an uncle, Jesse Stafford.

Visitation will be Monday, September 18, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 9:30 am until service time at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the church with Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.

Interment will be 3 pm Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Access Ministry at Lynwood Baptist Church, Cape Girardeau Senior Center or AID c/o V.I.P Industries in Cape Girardeau.
