Shelia Loafman, 80, of Jackson died Monday, June 17, 2019 at Evelyn’s House/Barnes Jewish West Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
She was born January 29, 1939 in McGee, Missouri, daughter of William E. and Irene McLeary Hanner. She and Carson Loafman were married November 25, 1972 in Malden, Missouri.
Loving survivors include her husband of 46 years, Carson Loafman of Jackson; three children, Steve (Kelley) Freeman of Slidell, Louisiana, Sheryl (Rich) Lotz of Reno, Nevada and Bryan (Sherry) Freeman of Steep Falls, Maine; six grandchildren, Madison and Maccoy Freeman, Brent and Brad Lotz and Jessica Collins and Sean Freeman; four great-grandchildren, Carson and Kennedy Lotz, Nora Collins and Peyton Freeman; seven siblings, Donald (Carolyn) Hanner, Larry (Fran) Hanner, Robert (Diane) Hanner, James (Sharon) Hanner, Shirley Hanner, Nowatta Wagoner and Sharleene Breedlove.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William T. “Bill” Hanner and Lyle U. Hanner and three sisters, Beverly Mikel, Patrich Hanner and Nevola Hanner.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2019 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital c/o Evelyn’s House, PO Box 790369, St. Louis, MO 63179-9917.
