Sonya Grantham

Sonya Grantham, 74, of Sedgewickville, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, at Diana’s Boarding Home near Scopus.

She was born November 21, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, to Ray N. and Vera Sebaugh Grantham.

Sonya was a 1967 graduate of Patton High School.  She was a lifetime member of Sedgewickville Lutheran Church.

Raised on a farm, Sonya liked to tend to the chickens, sell eggs, and help in the garden.   She also had a love for animals and enjoyed fishing and traveling with friends.

She is survived by a cousin and his wife, William and Kristi Nitsch and their family of Sedgewickville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Susie Grantham.

The Rev. Diana Cook will conduct a graveside service at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Sedgewickville Cemetery.

Memorials to Sedgewickville Cemetery are appreciated.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Crown Hospice for the excellent care given to Sonya the past six months.
