Steven Luttrell Sr.

Steven Randolph Luttrell Sr., 61, of Jackson passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his home. He was born January 1, 1961, in Cape Girardeau, son of Robert "Bob" and Janet Sue Little Luttrell. He and Penny Mason were married February 23, 1985. She survives. Before becoming disabled Randy worked for his parents at Snappy Delivery and a bus mechanic for First Student in Cape Girardeau. He enjoyed spending time at the Jackson Bowling Lanes, bowling with the Friday Nights Mens and Sunday Night mixed league. Bowling was a passion he loved to share with the younger generation. He would call it teaching while his kids may refer to it as grouchin. If there was a St. Louis Cardinal Baseball game, Kansas City Chief Football game or a John Wayne movie on you could find him in his chair. He also had a love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Above all else being with his grandchildren was his favorite. Loving survivors include his wife Penny of the home, three children, Steven (Amy) Luttrell, Susanna (Adam) Hoss all of Prattville, Alabama and Michael Luttrell of Jackson; six grandchildren, Kylie, Hailey, Joseph Hoss, Donya, Caden Marx and Angela Selby; five siblings Phillip (Denise) Luttrell, Mike (Diane) Luttrell, Billy (Marsha) Luttrell, Kim Cunningham and Patti Conway. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 pm Friday, January 21, 2022 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Aaron Boyd officiating. Memorials may take the form of contributions to McCombs Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
