Steven Alexander Whitney

Steven Alexander “Whit” Whitney, age 71, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at his home with his Bible by his side.

He was born August 28, 1946, in New York, NY, son of Tony and Bonzella Skinner Whitney.  Steven was a veteran having been inducted into the United States Army July 14, 1964 and honorably discharged June 29, 1967. He also was employed a number of years at Procter and Gamble.

Survivors include a son, Mario Whitney of Sikeston; a daughter, Susan Marlice Whitney of Matagetse and her husband Dimitris Kiparissas; and a grandson, Panagiotis Alexander Kiparissas all of Greece.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation and sharing of memories will be Friday, May 11, 2018 from 4-8 pm at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
