Susan Tomsu

Susan Lynn Tomsu, age 65 of Jackson passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 27, 1960 in Vernon, Texas the daughter of Alton and Linda Lovelace Hoke. She married the love of her life, John Tomsu at Chillicothe First Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Texas.

Susan was a 1978 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was an ice connoisseur, she enjoyed traveling, the beach, and especially following her children in all their activities.

She also was an avid sports fan of the Golden State Warriors, Kansas City Chiefs, and her children competing in sports.

Loving survivors include her husband John of 47 years; her children, Ryan (Maria) Tomsu of Bogota, Colombia, Cameron (Joshua) Koehler, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, and Cassidi (Clayton) Collier of Jackson; three grandchildren, Keegan, Paisley Jane, and Hayden; a sister, Cheryl (Steven) Jones of Amarillo, Texas; and her special grandchildren, canines Charlie and Pepper.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Cathy Hoke Horn.

A visitation will be from 4 to7 pm, Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Larry Dowdy will conduct the funeral service at 11 am, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
