Suzanne G. Kemerer Elliott, 72, of Jackson, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born September 16, 1953, in St Louis, to Clarence G. “Glenn” Kemerer and Doris Spitzfaden Kemerer. She and Thomas E. Elliott were married February 24, 1974, in Festus Mo. He preceded her in death after nearly 50 years of marriage.
Suzanne was a 1971 graduate of DeSoto High School and furthered her education at the Lutheran School of Nursing and went on to Mineral Area College, earning her nursing degree. For over 30 years, Suzanne served as a registered nurse at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She loved all animals and had a soft spot for taking in strays, making her home a haven for creatures great and small, but most importantly, she was a loving and caring mother and grandmother to her family.
Loving Survivors include her two daughters, Angela (James "Jim") Garrett and Stephanie (the late Clinton) Fallin of Jackson; her cherished grandchildren, Katie, Ashley, and Nick Garrett; and two "adopted" daughters, Nichole Conley, with children Micheal, Joshua, and Savannah, and Angela (Randy) Whitticre with daughter Avery. Suzanne is also survived by her loving sisters, Sandra (the late Edward), Robertson, Sherry Shewcraft, and Kimberly Kemerer.
She was proceeded in death by her husband and her parents.
Visitation is from 11:00 am to service time, Monday, December 22, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, MO until service time. The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
