Terri Lea Berkbigler

Terri Lea Berkbigler, age 37, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at her home in Friedheim, MO.

On May 20, 1989, in Cape Girardeau, MO she was born to Terry and Lanitta Hogan Berkbigler.

Terri was a bright and beautiful soul; she knew the lyrics to almost every song and a movie quote ready for any conversation.

She was a veterinary technician for Semo Pets and an animal care advocate. Her passion for caring for animals never wavered. Loving them was her greatest gift.

Terri is survived by her parents, Terry and Lanitta Berkbigler of Friedheim, MO; her two brothers, Jacob Berkbigler of Oakridge, MO and Kaleb Berkbigler of Friedheim, MO; her sister and brother-in-law Leslie and Jeffrey Hager of Jackson, MO; her grandmother Jean Hogan of Jackson, MO; her niece and nephew, Blake and Izobel Hager of Jackson, MO.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Norbert and Luella Berkbigler and maternal grandfather Grover Hogan.

A visitation for Terri will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1:30 p.m. at the McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, MO, with Pastor Sam Roethemeyer officiating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sedgewickville, MO.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to SEMO Pets in Terri’s memory.
